ROUGH HORN

Uncommon in sand deeper than 30 feet.  White or cream, sometimes with brown flecks or spiral lines, suture impressed, axial ribs composed of nodules.  Shells vary considerably throughout the range.  Attains 1.5 inch.  Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Tuamotus.
